I'll probably get a "stupid poll" comeback but with all of the folks on these boards and the many different cities/states they live in, I'm wondering when everyone became a Browns "Die Hard". For me it was the veryvery early 60s, or somewhere around 1960, 1961, 1962. I'm curious to see if we've gathered a few fans since their 1999 comeback, started watching in the Otto Graham/Marion Motley era, became a fan during the Jim Brown era, became a die hard in the Sipe years, the Kosar years, or in the 90s or, in the 00's If you comment, give a little detail as to where you live now (city/state) and what "turned you into a diehard"! I think the fanbase is second to none and just the "locations" that most people do show on the bottom of their posts shows how vast, diverse, and widespread (locationwise) us fans truly are!

In the veryvery early 60s, when going to my grandparents for the Sunday "spaghetti dinner/breaded pork chops" dinner, with the TV on (B & W) my dad would ask me, which team do you waant, the dark jerseys or the white jerseys. Thinking that the dark jerseys were "tough looking" I always chose them and just about "always lost" to my dad.
He did ask me, when no doubt knowing they were in their Brown jerseys, that since I just about always lost when I picked the dark jerseys, if I wanted the team in the "white jerseys" which made sense to me!!! Sure enough, most times I picked the team with the "white jerseys" when he did this, I lost!!!

The glorious January blizzard of 1979: born and raised Brown and Orange. Really...is it possible for someone to be born in Cleveland and not be a faithful?

I came from a big sports family. Dad was Packers, Mom was Cowboys, Brother was Eagles. It was 1963 and I was ten years old and my father said I had to pick a team. My favorite color was orange...and so it all started.

I was born in '88 so I would say then, however I put down 2000s (could have put 90s for coming back in '99) because I was too young to be a fan and actually know what was going on. I was too concerned with other things as a kid than the Browns, but now I am a definited die hard fan.
Was Born in Cleveland Ohio on 07/08/1980 and have been a browns fan all my life even though I have lived in florida much of my life. And i cant wait to the Jax- Cleveland game this year as all my friend are Jags fans. WE will be there partying together by the 5th qtr bar all day. hopefully we win and i can gloat, that will make my year. Those same friends are yankees fans so i already have one up on them.

Well Tally.....yea. I find it truly hard to believe that people who are born, raised and never left the city their whole life walk around with their stoolers jerseys and rahrah the stools. Most don't even know where the state of PA is but the stools are their team.
The Browns can go 0-16 from now till eternity and I'll always bleed brown and orange.

I was born in 56, and started really watching the Browns in 65 (9 years old) Leroy Kelly Fasinated me and to this day he is my all time favorite Brown. I always slept late on sunday and my mom would yell at me to get up the Browns were on and I would run downstairs and sit by my dad and we would watch every play.

fishtheice. No,[crying] my parents did not give a hoot about sports. I won two seats for the Reds opener once. I sold the most newspaper subscriptions. My Dad didn't care, so I took my best friend.
Im only sixteen so the earliest i could have become one was 99 but i would say i became a diehard fan in 2002. My family is a browns family so i grew up with a browns helmet and decorations, but it wasnt till that year that i began to watch every single game, and my whole week was based on the next game.
Cleveland Browns Superbowl XLIII Champions (maybe?)
