They've had the helmet graphic representing them for ages, but that's not practical. They've brought back the Brownie from the 40s, but that logo is showing its age. They had that capital B inside the football for a few years, but nobody seemed to embrace it.

They will (and should) always keep the solid orange helmet and striped brown jerseys, but the Browns need a real logo that pays tribute to their history while bringing the team identity into the 21st century. They need a logo that can represent them on TV box scores and look great on the 50 yard line. What do you think of this as the Browns' new logo?

Question:
What do you think of this as the Browns' new logo?

Choices:
I love it!
Eh, it's all right.
No sir, I don't like it.

I'm sorry, but we've been laughed at enough since 1999. That logo and the brown pants... Red Face

This logo is hot! Seriously. I've always loved the elf logo. It gives the Browns a distinct visual identity. But, you've breathed new life into the traditional Browns brand here!!!

I live in Seattle and wear an NFL Classic Gridiron hat that features the elf. My Seahawk friends have never seen the elf, and they really like it! (Of course, they're hardcore sports fans, so they appreciate a cool retro look.) But, what you've done here is really a new expression of the classic logo. It reminds me of what the Cavaliers did by reintroducing their classic look with a modern spin -- or as they call it "A new expression of wine and gold." And what you've done manages to accomplish the same thing. The new logo connects the Browns tradition with the future.

I would buy $$$ worth of merchandise featuring this logo in a HEARTBEAT!!!

I agree with BrownsFan1988, though. Keep the helmet logoless. I LOVE the plain helmet. However, it's time for a new logo that can be used elsewhere ... on the field ... heck, even on the uniform. This would look good as a small patch on the jersey or pants.

I agree that the helmet should always stay solid orange. Glad that you like the logo.

To the first poster: we wouldn't be getting laughed at if the product on the field was of a high caliber, elf logo or not. Nobody laughed at the Browns when they were winning championships in the 50s, with an elf as a logo.

Seems like Brownie the Elf, in general, is a love it or hate it type of thing.

Your art work is fantastic and I commend you for the time you put into it, but I have never liked the elf. I didn't mean to offend.

Nice Mascot.... but not a logo.

The no name hel-mut is our logo. :-)

I've always loved the elf! And I love the way this guy's belt buckle forms a C. But I think he should either look more fierce (the Brownie has been seen brandishing a knife) or more cartoony (part of the Brownie's charm is his big-headed, yet somehow menacing, look). And, to really nitpick, this guy isn't protecting the ball at all Roll Eyes .

I love the original elf and its slightly later version. I think you did a nice job but its not what I'd want to see. As much as I love the Brownie elf I don't want it on the helmet. Its great on hats and t-shirts. Gotta love the tried and true ORANGE helmet logo.

Roll Eyes It's OK but I like the helmet and the elf they already have. I love the colors, the helmet, and the logo we have and I don't understand why anyone would want to change it. Confused

Wink Seriously, it's not like a new logo will help our team play better. I love that orange helmet just please don't change that! Go Browns!!!!! Cool

The logo works fine on the fifty, would be nice for a throwback game or a divisional rival. Maybe put a fallen Steeler under his feet?

We can't change the helmet, ever.

sidenote: I love the orange jersey, and can't wait to see it on the field again.

Can we put a caption coming out of his mouth in a little cloud saying "Please, no more Polish Sausages for me!" ? It would totally complete it. Or better yet, " NO Sam, I must take the ring to Mordor!"

Very good work though, don't mean to pick on you about it, cause its very artistic. Think we can get Keebler or Kellogg's to become major sponsors.

It looks okay, i guess, but dated.

Can someone modify it and make it look tougher? ...Or even evil. (This IS football, remember!)

As an official logo-no, on some merchandise- I'm sure it would sell....

I like the original elf, this is updated but I wouldn't want it on the helmet or the field. Keep it all original IMO

Proud Browns fan since 1994.

You did a good job proops on that but the elf is straight out ridiculous! We are already the laughing stock of this league just add a corny little elf to the mix! Dear God!! Bring back the DAWG for merch and that's about the end of it, for me anyways!

PS. I know I'll get killed for this but I love the Brown pants!!!!!! About time they did something cool and a little different.

No Elf Logo. The only time the elf logo is cool is when its the vintage logo on a vintage looking t-shirt. Other then that no elf.

Keep the orange helmet, its simple and timeless.

Nice artistry. I like the elf as a secondary logo for sentimental/historical purposes. If we're going elf big-time, I want a midget style elf via the Wizard of Oz - when the browns score a TD, 50 of them run on to the field and do the "we represent, the lollipop gang..." song and dance. They must wear fish net stockings and we must alter the colors to pink and black.

We should have let the team go to Baltimore and become the Baltimore Browns and we would not have to worry about a fairytail esque logo !!!

I totally agree BrokenDawg

The Elf was the past...let's leave it there.
As I have stated before....the orange helmet should always be the logo!!!! It's unique, because no other team has a helmet as a logo. JMO
Sorry guys, I've just gotta say NO !!!!!

When fans want changes such as an elf logo, and cheerleaders, it makes me think of this....

Too similar...that's why I don't like the idea of an elf, too gay!!!
I guess if we just had to have a logo to bear...I'd want to see something like this.....

Funny cause most Steeler fans hate him too. They boo mercilessly at the stadium when he makes an appearance...

Bring back the helmet with the old two bar facemask. Lose this elf! I know. Iknow. It's from the original team in the forties and fifties but who in the hell is going to be intimidated by that?! I like the old bulldog as well. Has character and looks better. Give him some snarling fangs.

This looks like they should be sitting on Santa's lap at the old Higbee's on Public Square! And for all that is right and true in the cosmos LOSE THE BROWN PANTS! Why don't we try winning ballgames instead stupid elves and brown pants. Somewhere Paul Brown is rolling over in his grave!
