Hi,

I am coming out from Australia to attend my first live Browns game when they play Ravens on Monday Night Football. Where is the best place to watch the game and take it all in? Do I get some great seats on t he 50 yard line or do I get amongst it in the Dawg Pound?

Go Browns!

Strawb

I would get the 50, however if this were the old days in the old stadium then it would be a no brainer, you sit in the pound.

Trust me I have been to plenty of games in both stadiums and sitting in the dawg pound these days is not that big of a deal.

This is not the team that we call the Browns that team left and never came back!!

Thanks. It is a tough one and I will have to sort out pretty soon to ensure I get a ticket where I want.

One of the reasons I started supporting the Browns many years ago was because I loved the way the supported acted in the Dawg Pound. But like you say, the new stadium has changed it a bit. Plus if anything like Australia, things have become more professional and corporatised.

Same here. At Least Lerner had the sense not to name the stadium after a corperate name!

Strawb, sitting at the 50 will allow you to see the Browns punt many times, while sitting in the pound you will only see the Browns defense for two quarters as they try to limit the opposing team to just a field goal.
This is basically what it has been since they returned.

Sit at the 50, if youre coming that far to see your first game. Ive got season tickets in the other endzone, and have set in the new pound many times, but still think its better to see the whole game. cj was right when they(sorry didnt know if you were male or female didnt want to ofend either way) said if it was the old pound then that was the place. But now the 50 is better because youll need field glasses to see half the game from either endzone.

Just my thoughts, hope I am of some help

First game? Get the best seats you can possibly afford! 50 yrd. line is perfect. You can see everything.
There's nothing quite like seeing the Browns play in person. Especially MNF. They light Cleveland up like a Christmas tree. Wish I could still make it up. It's a BUNCH of fun. ENJOY mate!

If you seriously want to watch the game because you like the Browns/football and want to enjoy the experience, sit on the sides between the 20s. If you just want the experience and are intrigued w/ the Dawg Pound and are fine with having zero perspective of what is happening when the game is being played from the other endzone to your 20 yard line, sit in the Dawg pound.

Coming in from Australia? If you're spending that kind of coin, you might as well get the best seats you can and the 50-yard line in any stadium is the best seats you can get for viewing the game.

BTW, sometimes I listen to 2GB via the web. Smiler You Aussies crack me up! Definitely a different perspective on things.

Thanks heaps. It is certainly something I am really looking forward to. I also hope to watch the Cavs while I am in Cleveland as well as catch a NHL game somewhere. Plus a bit of sightseeing. I may as well make the most of it.

To go to all the things I want to go to I have to make two trips to US this year. The other trip is in July for Comic-Con in San Diego.

Airfares to US from Australia are about half what they were six months ago, so in effect, I can now do two trips for my original budget.

Go Browns!

Looks like I am in for an interesting time when I come over in a couple of weeks to watch Cleveland play Monday Night Football. None of the games are broadcast into Australia so I have to rely on live streams over www. I was hoping (we all are!) that the Browns would be playing better, but it will still be a good experience for me. We managed to get tickets in section 134 so will have a decent view and be able to take in a lot of the atmosphere and culture.

Any tip son how I can get the most out of the Browns experience.

Section 134 will be great.

Hope you have a great time on your first visit to the new(ish) stadium.
