Do you like this show? I am a huuuuuge terminator fan, had all the action figures, memorized essentially the whole judgement day script

but then 3 came out and...yeah...

Than this came out, and a female terminator? Not sure if i dig this show, ill give it one more chance.

Christian Bale should make a good john connor though when terminator 4 comes out

Man, I'm a huge Terminator fan (my favorite movie franchise of all time) and trust me when I say this show is everything that T3 wished it could have been.

The show follows the mythology of James Cameron's first two films. It takes place two years after T2.

Oh, and as for the female Terminator, there's actually a very good reason for that. Terminators are infiltrators, so what better way to find a 16 year old kid than sending back a hot piece of metal? Plus, Summer (the woman playing the female terminator, whos name is Cameron) is a very good and underrated actress.

I heard McG is not weaving in any of the happenings of the TV show into the next movie. It is pretty much picking up from the movies, but operating as if the SCC don't exist. At least that's what I've read, and is kind of dissapointing.

Yeah, Josh and McG talked about that and they both want to have their own timeline. But check this out, despite the show not having a Christian Bale or Sam Worthington, its storyline is a million times better than T4. Sure, I'm excited for T4 (due to Bale and it being set after the nuclear holocaust), but I hate that it follows right after T3. Personally, I felt that T3 kinda ruined James Cameron's mythology and original intentions of the franchise.

And hey, even though this show will never have a $185,000,000 budget, its story and the fact it stays true to Cameron's vision is worth 10 times more than that.

This show really is great and this coming up season looks to be really intense.

Do you watch it?

Yeah ... it is hard to figure out all of the "before" and "after" given the time shifting of the storyline. LOL

I do ...and I think I will enjoy it even more now with that nasty little minx Shirley Manson joining the cast!

Haha, to make it as simple as possible, T4 does pick up where T3 left off, only about 10 years after the bombs drop (it's the year 2018) and the movie is mainly about the beginning of the T-800 (Arnold's model).

Amen to that, brother. Shirley Manson is a definite 10. I'm even a fan of her band Garbage, so that makes it all the more worthwhile for me.

Anyway, in case you haven't seen any of the previews for season 2, here are some below:

The last one if my favorite promo so far.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the clips, CP ... I'll check those out later.

The band Garbage was also one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

The Browns and Terminator SCC in the same week? Finally I have something to watch on tv.

Jerome Harrison: After 10 games, averaging 2 carries a game, 10.4 yards per carry. I feel sick.

Another episode coming on in about 45 minutes.

I highly doubt anyone is paying attention, haha.

I am. It's the only tv I'm even watching besides the Browns. At least I can watch new episodes of the Daily Show and the Colbert Report online.

The reason I don't watch it is Fox has a bad history of killing Sci-fi shows I like.
Dark Angel and Firefly to name a few. If it lasts after this season I'll pick up the DVD's to catch up. I heard a rumor one of the major cast members will be killed off, if it's Summer Glau I'd stop watching anyway. She was terrific as River in FF, I assume she's good in this? Time will tell but I'd be surprised if they keep SCC more than this season. Hope I'm surprised so I can start watcing.

Remind me again why we didn't sign Michael Turner?

Summer Glau is my wallpaper. She's amazing.

I can pretty much say that it is NOT going to be her.

Fox seems to be backing this show. I think they learned their mistake by cancelling Firefly (which was also a great show), but you have to remember that T:TSCC brings in about 3.5 million more viewers and than any Firefly episode.

You should watch it, man. It got a 13 episode order for season 2 and if the ratings stay consistent, it will go the full 22 episodes this season. Smiler

I was so excited about the show, I forgot about my own trepidation concerning Fox. Thanks for reminding me, Spirit Wink I'm still mad about the cancellation of "Space: Above and Beyond" 10+ years later. "Drive" was another weird show that had potential. Fox doesn't want to give unique shows the chance to build an audiencee; at least with Terminator SCC, the popularity of the brand should ease their worries a little bit.

If someone is going to get killed off, I wouldn't be surprised if it were Austin Scott Green's character. He's close enough to John and Sarah that they'd feel the loss, yet not so central to the story that it couldn't move on without him. I think death has been waiting to catch up to that guy ever since Judgment Day. He's cheated death a thousand times so far.

Even if Cameron were "killed", it's not like they couldn't put her back together, right?

In all fairness to Fox they did keep the X-files going for quite a run. Perhaps I'm just bitter about Dark Angel and then FF. You kill a show I love for another show, then I fall for THAT show and you kill it in less than one season while leaving both shows outcomes up in the air?
I'm still ticked about Dark Angel. yeah the second season kind of went a little south but most of that was due to budget constraints imposed by Fox. There was SO much potential there. Ah well, maybe I'll catch SCC if it doesn't interfere with one of the few shows I'm already into. What nights it on? Let
