Yep, it's true. Disgusting.

See for yourself.

NEW YORK (AP) -- The National Debt Clock in New York City has run out of digits to record the growing figure.

U.S. national debt clock in Times Square, New York.

As a short-term fix, the digital dollar sign on the billboard-style clock near Times Square has been switched to a figure -- the "1" in $10 trillion.

It's marking the federal government's current debt at about $10.2 trillion.

The Durst Organization says it plans to update the sign next year by adding two digits.

That will make it capable of tracking debt up to a quadrillion dollars.

Surely to be ignored, but

IN ANY ELECTION AT ANY LEVEL, DO NOT VOTE FOR ANY CANDIDATE REPRESENTING EITHER OF THESE TWO PARTIES!

^^^I like Ron Paul too but he's not for everyone. I don't care which 3rd party most closely represents your beliefs; VOTE FOR THEM.

My wife was going to vote for Obama but today the lightbulb turned on and she came home and googled Bob Barr. She's had it too.

The Dems/Repubs have brought our country to it's knees by catering to their pet special interests and propogating their own sense of entitlement. They are ruining us. They have sold us out. They go or we go. It's that simple.

I'm doing some work right now for the Durst family. Actually the daughter, Helena. Don't really have a point really. As you were. Debt sucks.

What viable 3rd party candidate do you see that will ever stand a chance against either Dem/Reb party? You know the media will 'NEVER' give a 3rd party candidate a fair shot. Ross Perot was the last candidate the media even took serious.

First off I don't hate anyone, especially someone from a message board.

I've been against both of these parties for a decade now.

Hating the Republicans and Democrats in no way indicates I'd support someone who wants to hand the machine over to American Corporations. And isn't Ron a Republican? Didn't he just try to get their nomination?

The best chance would be to convert current Congressman over to a third Party.

Start with those who get elected in November, they have job security for the next 6 years. A group as small as 30 Representatives and 10 Senators would have amazing control.

Congress is split right down the middle, it doesn't take many Independents to take a majority away from either side.

Good post Quixote!

Who in congress can you forsee taking on such an endeavor? I think the majority of the citizens(after this election) are so fed up with the current 'status quo' they would jump on a third party for real "change".

1. Joe Lieberman, Ron Paul, those guys have.
2. The majority of the citizens of this country are retarded and will never vote because a third party candidate "will never win". No dip, Sherlock, if you don't vote for them of course they don't.

"Lesser of the two evils" is still an evil.

Would that make Ron Paul "The lesser of three evils" is still an evil, in your opinion?

None....this time. But like Quixote and Quinn said, you need to vote for them before they will ever be elected to anything. Whichever one of them said it; they're right. We need to vote a bunch of 3rd party candidates into Congress before they'll have a legitmate bid at the White House. It's not going to be a one-election process. It's kind of like rebuilding the Browns. It's can't be done in one year/election. It will take several years to build a 3rd pary base but you need to start by actually voting for them.

Again, I agree with Snow. It's retarded to have a 2 party system. 3 party isn't much better we need atleast 4 IMO.

Liberal Party
Conservative Party
Libertarian Party
Constitutional Party
Wig party? ( I just love the name Razzer )

No way anything, but Dem/Rep get elected this time around. Have to start low at the District levels and work up to Gov/Sen.

Do you know how happy that would make me?

I'm a Conservative/Constitutional/Libertarian in ideology.

That would be great!

I'd like to see NO parties.

Apparently, it's too much work for citizens to research candidates as opposed to looking for red or blue on the ballot.

I guess that's the supposed advantage? You have no clue WHO you're voting for, but you DO know which side of the Monopoly you're supporting.
