Four Obama supporters in the crowd where Gov. Sarah Palin was speaking recently were seen wearing T-Shirts that read:

"Palin is a __________"

It's easy to fill in the blank with a little imagination as I obviously won't write out the worse thing you can call a woman.

This is the "tolerant left" at work...and where are the headlines?

Can they sink any lower?

There would be plenty of headlines if "ONE" person was wearing a T-Shirt that read:

Obama is a ___________.(male part)

But then again there is no media bias.

Yeah,so much worse than death threats and calling someone a murderous terrorist...keep trying...

LEts take two people, one calls the other a name, then the other person gets upset and spreads the word that the original person is a murderous terrorist and they want to kill them....

Now guess who could end up in court/jail and who wouldn't.

The only thing that could be worse is to call your own wife that name. Maybe they were McCain supporters showing love for Sarah the way John does towards his wife.

Why is this a problems for Republicans. You didn't have problems with a kid wearing a shirt to school that said Obama was a terrorist. You were however pissed off because the school sent him home and said that he couldn't wear it. You screamed freedom of speech. Just remember what is good for the goose is good for the gander. You can't have it both ways and I believe calling Obama a terrorist is far worse then calling Palin a _____.

The thing is that we should be upset at both sides for these kind of things, but it seems that we are only upset with the side that is against our candidate. It should all stop, but it won't because that is just the reality of the world we live in. We want free speech and then get pissed when someone uses that right and we don't like it.

Read my post above, its not freedom of speech when you slander and threaten someones life, you go to court/jail for those things.

Being rude and crude, like the T-shirt is just bad taste for that person. You do not go to jail/court for bad taste...If so Dawg57 and A2D would have to post on the board on license plate making break Smiler

You can interpret this however you want. Apparently, YOU chose to interpret it as obscene. Based on what?

Lame, IMO Roll Eyes

And yes, the liberals could sink much lower and then they might be on par with the right/wrong-wingers.

I think that regardless of whether it is against McCain/Palin or Obama/Biden that this type of behavior is wrong and does nothing but create and strengthen hate and violence.

Wow, you've got to love those pro-white Christians who hate people unlike themselves. Not only does he hate black, but what the heck, throw a Star of David on your racist effigy too!

For what it's worth, progressive, intelligent Ohioans have always been embarrassed by that corner of the state down by Cincinnati.

Sorry for jumping to conclusions, eyembrown. Like most, I'll be glad when this election is over. I thought it was dirty when Obama and Hillary were slinging mud, but the presidential campaign has obviously reached a new low.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but both parties have supporters who have behaved in shameful ways. As voters, we have to decide if the candidates are responsible for what their supporters do, good or bad.

So because a few people showed for a speech with something crude that makes the whole party wrong? How about when some browns fans threw beer bottles the nfl said "all browns fans are at fault everyone will loose there season tickets for life". The point is that there is some real "winners" out there but that doesnot meen everyone is at fault.

Eyembrown, why must you flood the forum with anti Obama propaganda? Why can't you just let people form their own opinion rather than make them listen to all of these things that are truly meant to try to sabotage the Obama campaign and keep them from voting Obama?

It was mine, presumably deleted by the refs.

I had linked to a new article that had pictures of the yard of one of the candidate's supporters. In the yard was a display that was way over the bounds of community decency.

Let's just say, it is safe to conclude that both supporters have some lunatics on the fringes of their campaigns.

The only judgement we can make about candidates is their response to the fringe when the issue is in front of them.

They can't control these people, and as Americans we honestly don't want them to.

I agree, we should judge the candidates on what they say and then what they do when one of them becomes President. Both side have nuts that will do anything to discredit the opposition, we as American voters with free will have to be cognizant of what is going on and not let the actions of a few bigots or haters skew our clarity in determining who will be the next POTUS.

Agreed. For all the talk of bringing the parties together, bipartisanship, blah, blah, blah, I can't imagine the country more divided than it is right now.

I know that I have to fight some real hatred for the right side and its smearing of Obama and Dems in general. I'm very biased, of course, but it seems like the right has resorted to some real desperate measures.

Whoever is elected will have a mindnumbing task ahead. Our country is in shambles right now IMO.

I agree it's a very scary time. My hope is that whoever is elected will lead us out of this dark time, but this dark time is only a twilight in comparison to what I believe is coming. Right now I am strongly leaning to Obama, but I am listening and reading what the other half is saying. However, I would almost prefer McCain being elected to Obama simply because I am afraid of what might happen to him while he is in office. If he gets elected and is assinated I truly believe this country may see another civil war. I don't think it will be safe to walk down the street if you are white or black. I hope that I am wrong and that Americans will fully back whoever becomes President because it is going to take everyone in this country to get us back on track, not just the President and Washington.
