1. EVERY YEAR begins with a QB controversy, even when your starting QB made the pro bowl the year before

2. You win a game and it's STILL a worse performance than 99% of the LOSSES you've had in your franchise HISTORY

3. The BEST news you receive ALL SEASON is that your injured rookie RB, while NOT wearing his pads, wasn't in fact ordered by the coach to be tackled by a player IN pads

4. EVERY YEAR a large portion of your team catches odd viruses like staph infection, a fatal flu bacteria, and another virus that is seemingly only contracted by Browns players called the "DROPSIES" as reported by NBC4

I could go on and on with our vaunted past but I am trying to think of some originals. If you have any "You Know You're a Browns Fan If" scenarios definately add them below...

P.S. - I am a Browns fan. I love the Browns - always have, and always will. I have never actually talked in the smack shack about my own team before but couldn't resist. Oh what a sad state we are in...

What is sad is you're from Farrell, Pa. Home of the Farrell Steelers. Awesome basketball program back in the day. When asked, the late great Wilt Chamberlain said his most memorable basketball game was in high school, when his school, Chester High (Philadelphia) played Farrell for the state championship.

So why is it that someonone from Farrell roots for such big losers like the Clowns? BTW I am originally from nearby Sharpsville, but that was eons ago. I have lived near clowntown most of my life. The browns suck, and will always suck, good luck with that dude.

Having been a Bengals fan my whole life, trust me, I can sympathize. However, what you Browns fans should be doing is stop selling out games. Hit the ownership where it hurts most, the wallet. I'm not saying to stop being a fan, because you are fan of the history and the players (well, probably most of the players) so not attending games doesn't qualify you as a bad fan. If anything, it proves you are willing to make sacrifices in order for the ownership to wake up. Instead of buying new jerseys and spending money at games, sit back at home with your current jersey and enjoy the game from home. If it gets blacked out, go to your favorite bar and give your money to them, where it is probably better utilized.

The Bengals have been close twice this year on not selling out games. However, not due to lack of fan enthusiasm, but the economy has really hit Cincy hard. Three weeks ago, they were 2,000 tickets shy of a sell out and was on the brink of a blackout. Mike Brown purchased the tickets and gave them to military families for free! Then, the Houston game was 1,000 tickets short and Chad Ochocinco purchased them and gave them away for free. (so say what you want about him, but that was very classy) I believe the rest of the games are sold out or are very close. My point is, change comes from the top down, but without fans buying tickets, the ownership is FORCED to sell the team or at least makes some drastic changes in personnel.

That would only result in them moving out of Cleveland again.

bengals haven't turned anything around as far as consistency. when you have three winning years in a row that is a start. you guys will start jumping back on the bandwagon after one year and next year it'll be same old bengals

I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about the Browns and their pathetic excuse for a season they are having. I never said anything about the bengals turning the organization completely around, but at least we are having a good season thus far. And Mike Brown has not been acting himself as of late, and I believe it had to do with the amount of tickets, or lack there of, that were sold before this season started.

I personally have nothing against the Bengals...just some their fair weather banwagon fans. Theses are the kind that couldn't talk pure football if they had to...just the same stale old crap like that. I love how they try to call themselves "REAL FANS"

This IS the smack shack right? I can take criticism all day long, trust me, I have been a Bengals fan for years, I am used to the abuse. Just as I assume all of you Browns fans can relate. I never said anything about Browns fans not being true fans, however, if you want to have an effect on the organization and its management, hit em where it hurts, the wallet.

I have been to a Bengals/Steelers game in Pitt before and I will never go again. I have been to several Bengals games at away cities, and I have never been treated worse than I was in Pitt. One beer thrown at me and my wife for cheering when they scored, and two guys throwing rocks at my car on the way out was un-excusable. I guess that is what Pitt fans call class, right? I have been to two games in Cleveland and I never had a problem. So yeah, you go to games in Cincy probably because you do not have to worry about that type of behavior from our fans. (besides the typical boo's)

Get you facts right. Wilt Chamberlain played for Overbrook, not Chester - and it wasn't in the state championship - it was at the Lions Tournament at Farrell during Christmas.

Where do you live? Because you don't know too much about your hometown or the Shenango Valley chief.

What do you want Billy...warm hugs when you come into our house?...And I would imagine that we get treated the same way when we come to Pittsburgh....that's just the way it is...and if Rocky can't take the heat...go to home games only then is all I can say.

the heat, booing, verbal jabbing, typical jawing with some cursing, does not bother me, in fact, I expect it. However, when my wife is scared because rocks are hitting my windshield by multiple Pitt fans, that is where I draw the line. The beer hitting me pissed me off, but I wasn't ready to leave because of it. I understand that there are a few A**holes out there, however, I have never had problems in cleveland besides the typical jawing. My friends who have been to Pitt have experienced similar events in Pitt and we all seem to agree that we never have problems in Cleveland.

I don't see a problem with brown fans in cleveland, Steeler fans outnumber browns fans at Heinz Field West anyway.

Should one of them get out of hand, James Harrison will tend to it.
