A must read for all Brown's fans. Make sure to finish the article if you think Winslow (who i love, BTW) really deserves a raise.

I Say Pay Him Whatever It Takes.

He is going to be a Hall Of Fame tight end.
I hope he enters as a Brown.

Winslow is a special player you cannot replace... Pay him... Period... You can pay DA all that money and he we all knew he could be replaced, but you want to even haggle with a future Canton bound TE in his prime????

Kellen Winslow I think i speak for every Browns Fan out here when i say that right now I oppolgies on behalf of the Cleveland Browns Organization, and we have much love for you... the fans of this team.... even if those dumba$%$%% in the front office dont... We rather have you here then them.... See us thru friend we need you....

to be honest I'm ready to get rid of all our players who just can't seem to stay healthy or perform on a regular basis. I don't like how Phil has handled this but lately I don't like much of anything that is done lately. Somebody just make us WIN!

After reading the article it raised a number of questions to me. In it Terry Pluto says it's all about contract issues and more money. The question is - how does he know? Where are all of the facts to back up what he says Winslow thought? Did Kellen personally go to Terry and say this is what he wants and why or is this just what he surmises from the situation? Unless he knows the facts from the FO and Kellen then all this article is is his opinion and we all know that everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Yep ..... all about the $.

I love how people defend K2 by saying "he plays so hard" or "he plays hurt" ..... like that's going above and beyond what he's paid to do.

You're supposed to play hard. You're supposed to play banged up. That's football.
First round picks are supposed to make the pro bowl!
Gimme a break.

Those of you that are assuming KW2 is Canton bound must think he's going to play for more than 5 or 6 more years. Personally, I don't. I don't think that he's long for this league, he's had too many physical problems to work through.

I love KW2. I love his intensity and work ethic and the energy he brings to the O. However, we've been kind to him in his tenure, and he also needs to give some ground up to the Browns' desires in renegotiating his contract, which shouldn't be done until after this season is over anyway.

I will stay on topic here.

1st you do not give K2 a new contract when he still has 2 ½ years left on his current deal. That would set a president that would put the Browns in cap hell for sure. Every other player on the team would want a new deal, so no way do you do that, not EVER.

2nd How much of the Browns future do you want to risk on a player with K2’s injury history? Do you want the Browns to give him a contract that guarantees him how much money 25 Mill 35 Mill, sorry dawgs your barking up the wrong tree here.

3rd You all do realize that tying up cap space in the form of guaranteed money would be STUPID for the Browns to do? For instance K2 sustains a career ending injury, your still paying out dollars to him while he sits at home. Now I realize that a career ending injury is a part of life in the NFL, but given K2’s history are you willing to tie the hands of the organization by offering up a contract that K2 is bound to want.

4th The posts that blame DA, RAC, and PS for the poor choices that K2 has made doesn’t deserve comment. However, if those that have made these comments believe for one moment that what they have said is true I question your ability to reason, or think.

5th and finally not only will the Browns not do a new deal for K2 now, they won’t do one after this season as well, count on it. PS has a responsibility to the Browns and ultimately us the fans to manage the dollars that are available to him wisely. Investing huge sums of money in a player, as great as he may be would be dumb on his part. Only if he actually did do a new deal for K2 would I question his ability to run the Browns front office. Lets put it this way don’t hold your breath waiting for the Browns to offer up a new deal, it won’t happen.

To sum up offering K2 a guaranteed contract with his history would be dumb from a business stand point, and could actually cripple the organization down the road if they did, so no way you do that, not given K2’s history.

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah Blah. Read the article. He agreed to a contract and wants change it now. I wonder just how much he would have agreed to redo his contract if he was still having difficulty. Is he a good TE. No doubt. Is he replaceable. YES. Consider this, without him we beat NYG but had Tucker. With him and without Tucker we lost to Washington. Who is worth more.

It is time he shuts his frigging mouth. I am glad they suspended him and hope they trade him and Edwards. He shot his mouth off and now he is going to pay but all we want to do is tell him how good he is and how much we need him and BLAH BLAH BLAH. He is responsible for his actions but that is something no one wants to address.

Good article. I wonder what the "rest of the story" is with the comparison with Clark.

How many yards after the catch for Clark?
How many touchdowns did Clark have compared to K2?
What's Clark's game playing consistency over the years compared to K2?
How many dumb penalties called on Clark versus K2?

Stats like 82 versus 58 can be misleading in my opinion.

$11.6 million for a total of 2 games? And he's being treated poorly? Savage had every right to withhold/take back signing bonuses, etc., but didn't. That's being treated like a piece of meat?

K2 signs Rosenhaus(sp?)? Yea, that's going to go well. How's that working out for you Chad?

I don't think K2 will be in the long term future of the Browns unless Savage is replaced next year.

Nope, sorry, no sympathy here. You don't think the Browns organization is doing EVERYTHING they can to find out how this staph keeps developing? We're not the only organization battling this infection. As a business, do you really think the business takes it lightly that their multi-million dollar investments are staying in hospitals rather than playing football like they're being paid for?

I wonder how K2's tone would be if we were 5-1 versus 2-4 and looking pathetic offensively 5 out of the 6 games.

I don't think this should come as a shock to anybody, really.

I mean, think about it.

Kellen is signed for roughly 2.5 more years.

He switched agents before this year. His new agent, Big Bad Drew, does not get one nickel from Kellen until K2 signs a new deal. Does anyone really think that an agent is going to keep a client for roughly 3 years before getting paid?

I don't. This has been brewing the second K2 switched agents. None of us should be surprised.
