This is amazing! Just over a week away from the opener and I have no clue who will end up being the number 3 receiver.

Is there any way it's Steptoe? If it's Wilson it sure isn't a result of anything he's done on the field this preseason. He's been a ghost.

Will it come down to tomorrow night?

VERY strange. Eeker

I think that Steptoe is our best option right now. I have been impressed with him.

Unfortunitally i believe it will be Travis Wilson right now. I Would love to see Cribbs and Steptoe get some time at the 3rd receiver spot, but we have not seen Cribbs get many passes thrown his way, and Steptoe i dont know if he has done enough to cement himself a roster spot this season.

I hope so though, I hope it can be Cribbs or Steptoe cause i dont think we have much in Travis Wilson

Dear Savage, Please bring us some REAL pass rushers ASAP. Signed, Mr Kelso.

Steptoe is currently winning the battle and Wilson isn't even a lock to make this team anymore.

"Browns WR Travis Wilson isn't a lock to make the final roster.

Coach Romeo Crennel said the would-be No. 3 receiver is "on the bubble." Syndric Steptoe has impressed in preseason action and appears to be the leading candidate among a less than impressive backup receiving crowd."

I hope it is Steptoe, he reminds me of a stronger Dennis Northcutt excpet for Steptoe can catch the ball. I think he would be perfect for the slot, he's the kinda tough WR that you know is gonna go over the middle and do whatever he has to do to get the ball. I think Wilson is all bark and absolutely no bite. We need to try to get a hold of that young man from the Giants that burned us and see if he wants to be 3rd WR this season.

Steptoe has been one of the FEW bright spots for us in pre-season.

If Steptoe makes the team it will be as a ST's player Not as our #3 WR. That spot goes to Wilson Cool

Did you not just read my news update? He's looking like he's going to be cut.

Steptoe has won the slot position thus far.

Honestly Chris, I don't think anyone has won that position yet. Thay are ALL on the bubble. This last pre-season game is going to determine which ones stay and which ones go. So the pressure is now on all of them to perform. Someone needs to step up and take it.

Could be Brett...but I doubt it. I really think they want to stay with youth and develop them. Unfortunately, Joe is just too far past his prime.

Steptoe, Wilson and Sanders.

Wilson didn't look too good as the starting WR but then again he was looking good in the slot. Which is what we are looking to use him for.

Sanders - nothing spectacular but solid WR who knows how to use his size.

Steptoe has that quickness to stop and go and he's got some decent size to go with it - 5'9" 200...compact, he has shown elusiveness in his return duties. But can he run good routes???

Cribbs - dynamite every time he touches the ball. I think if he was a more seasoned WR the position would be his...but his duties have watered down his technique. Also I think Chud has an entire Chapter of our playbook called "CRIBBS" and he will be all over the place.

At the beginning of training camp the way the coaches were talking I thought for certain Kasper had a good shot at it. But he's on IR now.

Horn wants to come here. But does he have any legs left?

2 TE sets? Do we go with one of the 3 Steptoe, Wilson and Sanders until JJ is back. As RAC stated - he wouldn't have put JJ on PUP if he didn't expect him back.

If Steptoe can run routes I think he could be the guy...but right now after reflecting on TC n Pre-season I think its Wilsons job to lose.

Between Steptoe, Wilson or Sanders, I don't have a fav. Seems like Wilson lost some momentum but no-one is heads above the other. I really like Sanders' toughness- it might help RAC's Offense but Steptoe has impressed me a bit. Dude wants to be on this team. As for Wilson, he really needs to show some heart thursday or he could be Practice squad or worse.

YOU'VE GOT TO STOP SOMEBODY!!!!!!

I can't see us making a move for Joe Horn.

As for the #3, either Wilson or Steptoe, looking like Steptoe after Wilson's recent quietness. Hopefully both show up during the Bears game to give us a more content outlook.

Rucker got a knee scoped as he hurt it on a Monday practice after our first preseason game? I think the first???

RAC stated that we were thinking of keeping him on the roster (53) as we expect him back 100% by week 2??? or after week 2??? and would just have him as one of 8? that goes on the game Inactive list. No pup for him...hopefull all is well and his rehab is going as planned. Also Bell might be ready to run the week before our first game???

I've heard this repeated by more than one as An article cleverly mentions this.

Well what most have to remember...that 8 catch season by Carter was not from the slot. It was what he produced as the #2 WR - he was the...Coach what do I do...Ummm you go LONG - kid. Which btw is portrayed in 08 by Stallworth. Heck in a 2 game stretch I can remember JJ from the slot catching more than 8 passes. So that info from a staff writer I think is very misleading and actually has nothing to do with our Slot WR. In many cases Carter just wasn't in as when we went with 2 WRs its was BE n JJ...
