Browns QB Brady Quinn will probably start his second straight preseason game as Derek Anderson deals with a mild concussion.

Browns coach Romeo Crennel won't rule out Anderson for Thursday's game until after Tuesday's practice. Crennel may start preparing Quinn for the regular season opener but wants to wait until next week before making that decision.

--------------------------------------------

This season looks like it could be a long one. Now, I'm not saying that because Quinn might end up starting (hey, he might be better than DA, who knows?) But it looks like our injuries sound a bit worse than expected.

I hope it does not come to that, I know he was missing Edwards, Lewis and Tucker in the starting offense, but he didnt look sharp at all with any of our other players. Quinn is not ready to be this teams starting quarterback.

Im not worried, I honestly think if Andersons injury was more serious than it is, that we would know. We still have over a week until the opener against Dallas, Plenty of time hopefully for Anderson to recover.

Dear Savage, Please bring us some REAL pass rushers ASAP. Signed, Mr Kelso.

Not a chance!!

Anderson is fine, theres no reason for him to play this week against Chicago.

I guess Braylon isnt playing week one either.

I can't believe you would start this thread based on that little blurb about a possibility. Roll Eyes

Did you guy's not read the part where Romeo says he will have to wait until next week to determine if Quinn will start? While it may sound unlikely to all of you, I think that says something more about DA's concussion.

Anyway, where did you hear that Braylon isn't playing in week one?

i was being sarcastic... since he hasnt played bascally this whole pre-season either

Have you ever had a concussion? you can recover from a mild concussion within a week. It obviously wasnt too harsh of one if he got up and walked off the field. Its not worth playing him this week against Chicago.

He will not miss week 1.

I'm not really that stressed about it. IF IF IF DA doesn't start against Dallas, it's not the end of the world. I know every game counts, but so does winning the Divison. If DA isn't 100% why play win? As most have feel, Quinn isn't the answer, so why risk taking DA out the entire season. Do I think we can win with Quinn? Yes! We have NOT had our starters together for a single snap this season.

Do we have a better chance of winning the Dallas game with DA or Quinn? DA! He has more time in the NFL, starters, and confidence! I trust Quinn will play better against Chicago. The bigger picture will BE and JL play??? I believe they are more of the puzzle than DA or Quinn.

With every post...I'm a Browns fan...I just happen to like Quinn as others have favorite players...I try NOT to be to "one sided"

Playoffs, are you talking playoffs?

If my avatar/sig is a big deal to you (I'm assuming it is since this is the third time you've mentioned it) send it via PM, stop derailing threads.

I could not disagree more.

If you have the Lions game recorded, go back and look at why our drives were stopped in the first half. In each case it was because Brady missed an open receiver on 3rd down.

The blocking held up.

The receiver got open.

But the throw was off.

Jamal and Braylon's absence had nothing to do with it.

Here you go again. Care to comment on Anderson missing wide open WR's in the Giants game?

BOTH GAMES were effected because BE was not playing, and during the Giants game we had Jamal. To say that their absence makes no difference is comical. I am not trying to take sides, but you make it impossible not to.

If you watched BQ at notre dame, it seemed as if 1 or 2 out of every 4 pass attempts of 15yards or more were catchable balls! Now i'm seeing the same thing with him now!!!
