REY MAUALUGA ( i can't spell his last name) this guy is a absolute BEAST in the middle...

Oh yea and I am a HUGE HUGE Ohio State fan but stop with all the Jenkins and Laurinitis talk...there is football outside of Ohio...plus I really think they are both over rated...I dont see the fire in Laurinitis like a Rey Lewis and Jenkins doesn't make enough big plays...we need a GENERAL not just another soldier...

Well maybe if we get a new HC some of these draft picks might actually get to PLAY.

Unfortunately RAC wont't play rookies no matter how good they are.

Well-said.

I also think you spelled his name correctly and I agree with everything you said to the dot.

Rey Maualuga or Chris Wells.

As far as scrapping the 3-4:

Absolutely not. We might have a gem in a nice 3-4 OLB Alex Hall. Not only this, but Dqwell is a VERY nice tweener in for a ILB in a 3-4.

Wimbley is out of position in the 3-4, but at this point I don't even think a 4-3 could save his career. He got a sack yesterday and I was so proud for him, until I noticed that he only got it because he went unblocked.

We also have too many DTs to scrap a 3-4. Who is going to play the OLB in the 4-3... some underachieving backup linebackers like Leon Williams? He's decent... but in coverage he gets WASTED. At this point I'd rather hand the ILB in the 3-4 to Leon and Dqwell and see what happens from there. Might as well try some new stuff before picking in the draft. The season is lost. If Leon can hold that position fine then we pick up a RB, if not we pick up a ILB. Its that simple.

And as for drafting a CB:
McDonald has played a decent game yesterday. He dropped an interception that he would normally catch, big deal. He didn't have any safety help over the top once again, this is why big plays from Santonio Holmes kills us too. He's also playing man coverage at 5'9" when he's against an NFL elite WR -- Brandon Marshall. The what if interception was definitely going to be a game changing moment, but Winslow also had a game changing moment too. As did Sean Jones for not helping on that deep pass over the top. Chud was also game changing. He calls a pass play when its 4th and 1 with NO ONE IN THE BACKFIELD. We have two timeouts. Quinn could have EASILY did a QB draw with all those receivers set out wide and use a timeout.

Our CBs coming into the game were phenomenal. They were all throughout the year. Unfortunately my man on defense, Sean Jones, is simply not cut out for coverage. He makes a LOT of plays at the LOS which is good but he needs to help more over the top. When it was Pool/Adams that tandem was insane. Those two were practically fighting for the interception at points. I would like to see that again.

Sorry for the rant but you people are ridiculous at times. You don't judge properly without thinking clearly.

i for one think it would be worth a #1 and a #2 to say goodbye to rac. 5-17 in the division. getting out coached bye rookie head coaches every year. i guess 5 superbowl rings means nothing if you are not head coach material.

To whoever says it was a mistake for "Opie" Roll Eyes to take a "win now" philosophy, please! He had to almost completely rebuild this team, and so many of our "fans" are too impatient so they HAD to start winning some games or they would all have been run out of town by now!

To the posters who said we need safeties... Pool is finally starting to show improvement and Jones is playing hurt! Before his injury Jones was looking much better than last year.

I still think our 2 starting CB´s will be fine, they´re young (heck McDonald is STILL just a rookie!) and will show improvement. As I stated in another post, we KNEW with young corners if we didn´t pressure the QB they´d get eaten alive and guess what happened?

D-line and pass rushing LB´ers is what we NEED!!!

This fanbase really needs an enema... so does the Media!!!

We need a better defensive game plan no matter who is in a Browns uniform they still would not be in the right position 2 make plays. McDonald slipped on one play and was left all alone on another on and the only ones who knew that was Cutler, Royal, and Brandon. On his defense he had a few break ups and could have had to game changing interceptions .

21 points in the 4th quarter .. i dont care what Defensive players you have .. that should never happen. it was like we were playing with 8 guys out there. There WR were open way too much. It was just a bad defensive showing. What ever happen to double covering a WR instead of just letting safeties roam around.

It just hurts ... the samething again and again. Why can't they finish a game?

I think a lot depends on what happens via trade.

It is essential to aquire draft picks. As we have seen over and over again, FA is a crap-shoot and you never know what you'll get.

Could be Rogers could be Dainty Stallworth.

If we could get good value for K2 and Edwards, I'd seriously consider it. I can't believe I'm saying this about the 2 guys that everyone thought would be our biggest weapons, but at some point you have to evaulate what it is exactly that they bring to your team.

I would rather watch Steve Sanders play his heart out than watch BE half a** his way through games and cause distractions. It doesn't matter if he's wide open for a touchdown and he drops it. It is zero production either way.

K2? I just don't get the feeling that he wants to be here anyway. And frankly, if he isn't used as a 3rd reciever/posession/JJ type guy, I don't want him. We need ACTUAL TEs in this offense and I really think that Heiden is a better TE by far. Sorry K2. But you simply have to block to be a good TE. Go ask your dad. He'll tell ya.

We're in trouble. If all the bets that Phil made paid off, we'd be ok. But they haven't. And now we are in the position where, again, we have a ton of holes to fill. To expect to pick up a #1 corner, a monster ILB, a starting WR and some legit depth across the lines as well as some RBs...? Well that would be an incredible off-season indeed.

Now I'm really depressed.

Rey Maualuga has huge potential. I'd definitely like to see him at LB. Here is where I get bashed but I'd pass on Wells. I'm not sure how well he'll fair in the NFL. Plus we can get another year out of JL and draft other areas of need first. We need to get CBs, LBs and DL help before I'd add to the offense. If BE comes around, JJ comes back, DS decides to earn a paycheck, K2 stays focused and split the carries between JL & JH, I think the O will be just fine under BQ after this season. Beef up the Defense. Get Rogers some help. Can you draft a NEW DEFENSE SCHEME ??

Rey Maualuga, or if we do something to move around ill tak Brian Cushing also!!

Malcom Jenkins, or Vonta Davis at CB

i feel as like we will have some extra picks in the first or second, wink wink trade, so if thats the case i would love Jenkins then Cushing, if theres 2 first lol, hey i can dream!!

The LB from USC would be nice.

I like Hall on the OLB spot.

Let's move Wimbley to the inside and pick up a stub OLB to take his spot if nothing else.????

I think the biggest need we have is a DE.

Is there any sites that have potential players for next years draft to see what could be out there?
