I say we give him a try, he can't be any worse than what we have on the right side, but at least we know he would play hard against pittsburgh.

Opportunity often comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat.

I shall channel BpG for you:

When someone gets cuts from the Patriots, it's because they're done.

(Mangini) keeps track of water bottles and who parks where and, while he does, his players fight and play like phantoms. - Pat McManamon

2 drawbacks

1 he was just cut

2 he was a part of the Steelers o-line. You know the one that was/is constantly letting defenses get to Rothlessberger

Unless he wore a Jets uni at some point, he's not going to be considered. Besides, this O-line was built by Mangini himself. Why would he want to change it?

Not bad only 40% made the Jets reference, better than I thought.

That aside, I agree with Wolfpack, typically when NE cuts someone, their decision is sound. I would have to pass, even considering the state of our line.

Newbie here. Question. Why do we want another guard? From the looks of the depth chart, looks like we need a tackle more.

when the steelers couldn't get over the hump beating jacksonville and they had a choice to sign culpepper or leftwich they signed leftwich and they beat jacksonville wih his help last year. sometimes x players can help you expose weaknesses on yhe team they used to play for just saying.

I find it hilarious that anytime someone gets cut from another NFL team mid-season, there is always someone that wants to pick the guy up.

If I remember correctly he's a diabetic trying to recover from an Achilles injury...on top of that the Pats invested in him because of his talent...and yet here they are releasing him.

Why oh why would he be of any good use for us?

We think of him maybe at his prime and in his best health...but obviously he is not at that stage. Work him out? I guess it couldn't hurt but possibly we still have some contacts within that organization and just know why. But quite frankly I don't think its a big secret or anything. He's just no where close to what he use to be. I know I pimped him coming into the draft - he had talent. Unfortunately things have taken their toll on him.

JMHO - anyone being released at this stage of the game is:
1. Damaged Goods
2. Simply not good anymore.

Or possibly both.

Kokinis Gone - maybe Holmgren coming.
Mangini brings the Browns up!
Remember its a 3 year program.

We do. An RT. Fraley can play RG for us but people want to improve that spot too. This guy won't do that though so there's no point.
