I still support Phil, but I don't agree with the way this has gone down.

I am not getting anything from the link. However if it is the same stuff he had in his press release it does help a person feel better about the situation. That said it is difficult to know who to beleive when they all say the other guy said this or that.

Huge Phil Savage fan, I agree with the suspension 100% I like KWII's enthusiasm, but publically criticizing is unnecessary and childish. Sad to say, I bet Winslow's gone after this year.

I understand what you are saying, but why not just fine the guy? We need Winslow in the line up, I know it hurts him more by not playing, but it hurts us as well.

this situation has been blown way outta control winslow doesnt deserve to be fined nor suspended he said the truth. aint all of you tired of hearing that whenever someone has surgery in cleveland they get a staph infection? winslow was upset that phil didnt come visit him and that kinda agitates me also cuz winslow is a huge part of this teams success and theres no reason to ignore him when he gets hurt. phil is one of the greatest things to happen to cleveland since the return but so is winslow so this was handled very very badly and im starting to think that phil is doing this to take some of the attention off of DA and romeo which is good for them but not for us. and if the browns get rid of winslow at the end of the season it will go down as another huge mistake that the browns made since they returned and they dont need that. give him a new contract (he deserves it more than anyone else on this team) give him a new contract and let him play happy

Well said Phil, now give Kellen a longer contract and put Brady in. Let's win some ball games huh?

forget about the suspension stuff, I posted this because I like how Phil was fired up and spoke with passion about how he he spends 24/7 of his time doing his job and trying to make the Browns better. Phil is on our(fans) side more than anyone and anyone who questions that is crazy. Phil is doing a great job for us.

He's done pretty good job up until now. If he trades Winslow I'm going to lose alot of respect for him, don't care what we get in return.

I'll still back PS and the team as well but I still think Phil is wrong on the way this was all handled.

They agreed to cover up a staph infection???? OK. Kellen changed his mind and didn't want to cover it up. Ok forgetaboutit then. The Brown's FO are as much at fault as KWII. I'm very disapointed in Savage for not fessing up to his faults on the issue at all. I bet a 100 bucks, Kellen wins this appeal in some form.

Let's play football.

Doesn't saying "he (KW2) agreed the Thursday after the Giants game to keep it quiet" insinuate it was PSs idea to not talk about it? Then he uses the hipa law as an excuse to make him look good.

shaddy PS, real shady!!!

come Dawg Gone,
it was never about the Staph, right now the Pats Tom Brady has one, the Jaguars receiver Mike Walker is recovering from one... imo, this whole thing could have passed without nasty internet rumors circulating out there... profootballtalk.com claimed K2 had an STD, cancer, or swollen private parts Confused
many gullible fans and media were all over those rumors, just like when they claimed Eric Steinbach was out for the season Roll Eyes

the refs on this message board had to delete several threads about that garbage.

Those same rumors were even mentioned on espn and nflnetwork, so it's never been about Phil not being fair, not calling K2 or the Browns being unsafe... it's about the LOCATION of the staph and clearing up stupid rumors.

Notice, even K2 failed to mention the LOCATION, so maybe, it was his private area, or maybe it was his knee again... why tell the world about either... besides, once he mentioned being unhappy about his contract, it was never about the staph, only $$$$ and clearing up goofy internet rumors...

now I would appreciate if you could leave the suspension talk on the other threads, this is more about what Phil had to say about why he doesn't have time to call 53 players when he's out busting his tale off to make the Browns better. Phil eats, sleeps, and lives for the Browns. IMO, we've never had someone like Phil on our side, since the Paul Brown days.

I appreciate the job he is doing and I like hearing him fired up about the job he does for the Browns and us fans.

This would have fit perfectly on the thread already discussing this issue.
