ON THE OTHER HAND...: Crennel said running back Jerome Harrison, who has been impressive in brief appearances, will be more involved in the offense. "That is one of the things where guys who have been productive and show that they have some continuity, we're going to try to emphasize those guys a little bit more," the coach said. "So I could see him getting more touches."

Big problem with your quote, this is the 4th week in a row Crennel has said that. Look for him to get 1 touch and be pulled from the game. We need to take a cue from Oregon State, run the ball and you will win. 37 carries for the kid. USC should be knocked out of the top 25.

Can we PLEASE stop rushing 3 and dropping 8 on defense?

Why would we want to use Harrison? I mean he is playmaker who doesn't block.

By the same definition, Winslow is a TE who doesn't block ... yet he plays.

... at least we have the Cavaliers.

Harrison isn't even playing in front of Wright, yet. How can he move up to become a starter? I would LOVE to see of Harrison on the field...only time he sees the field is a screen pass or ST...which I might add he is playing well at.

No dude, we're not sayin Harrison over Lewis, I'm saying get them on the field at the same time. Lewis is a FB with better running ability. Harrison is an actual RB. Both would be lethal, and Lewis is much stronger at the point of attack, rather than 5 yds deep.

Since in your own words you are sports savey when on earth has JLEW ever played fullback? He has never even been a lead blocker how would you know he can even play the position at all. I am all for Harrison getting some playing time but your statements are complete nonsense.

Did this work for you in Madden or something?

Jamal Lewis should be at FB. And Jerome Harrison should be at the HB position. It takes Jamal too long to get to the line of scrimmage from the HB spot.

Put him at FB, get Vickers off the field. And get Harrison with the speed and agility in the backfield. This kid can be sick!!

You seem to be one of those people that thinks everything that looks good tastes good as well. There isn't a single team in the NFL that would take Harrison over Lewis. If Lewis would have even considered Washington St Harris would have been enrolling elsewhere. This is a no contest.

Let me break it down to you hooked on phonics style.Lewis can carry an offense running the football Harrison can not. Lewis breaks tackles going forward and moves the pile, the first tackle normally knocks Harrison down and he is not effective in between the tackles.

Lewis is far better in pass protection and equally productive on screen plays. The fact of the matter is, Harrison is most effective in any capacity when Lewis is effective.

When Lewis is moving the chains and has the defense on their heals, its easy to slip Harrison in there for a run between the tackles or a quick screen play. The Browns were not making any plays downfield against Baltimore. Lewis was running the ball hard but the yards were tough. Harris got away with one nice screen call. He didn't get another because the Ravens were sitting on it and he surely wasn't going to come in the game and run between the tackles.

Harrison is a "situational" back I would hope that he understands and accepts his role and you should also. Nothing wrong with trying to get him more touches. When other things are going well, he will have better opportunities for success.

Lewis is a halfback with the strength of a fullback. He could play another 8 years at fullback and be very productive. Lewis is still hampered by an injury and yet he still runs hard. Play calling hurts Lewis as well. When he has a great run on first down, don't run him again on 2nd and/or 3rd.

The Browns seem to run plays into the ground. Mix it up, keeping the defense off balance is the key. Browns just don't manage down and distance well. Hopefully that will be addressed during the bye week.

First of all Harrison is not your feature back. As far as Oregon St goes, they ran their feature back, all 5'7" of him. Some teams match up better against other teams, its not the first time Oregon St has beaten USC. Some guys play bigger than their size, Harrison is not one of them. Some guys play better in space. A perfect example would be Reggie Bush.

They got away with a nice screen play that resulted in a TD. Nothing else was working so every time Harrison was back on the field it screamed screen and the Ravens took it away. Stop making Harrison out to be more than what he is. He is a nice change of pace when other things are going well. I would like to see him get more touches, that's an indication that the Browns are having success with great balance. Harrison is not a feature back and probably never will be.

wow. im amazed about the "take Vickers out" comment dogpound sound made

really? so you're gonna take the best fullback we've had since we came back in 99? he's easily one of the most reliable players on the field.

and im still wondering how in the world some of you call a 1300 yard rusher washed up. i guess you're considered washed up in cleveland when you basically carry all the dallas defenders on your back for 10 yards. wow

yet again browns fans amaze me.

I see we have the best fullback statements, I see people still slobbing over Jamal Lewis, and still in this thread talking ridiculous.

Dumbest statement of the thread, is knowing NFL teams taking Lewis over Harrison. If this was the case, why wasn't he signed by other NFL teams before we picked him up?

I'm done with arguing with supporters of losers. I'll let the team speak for itself.

1-7 coming up.
