I was beating everyone in All-Pro, so I restarted a new season and put it on All-Madden for a challenge.

I just finished playing Minnesota. My first drive, 3rd and short I hit Brian Robiskie for the first - he drops it. Minny drives down for a FG.

Next drive I get near their 20 - hit a wide open Mike Furry in the endzone on a post and he drops it. Next play, 3rd and long, I hit Jerome Harrison for the first, he drops it. I kick a FG.

Minny catches everything no matter how I hit them.

They blitz - I have Royal on a quick out to beat it - ball goes no where near him and instead right to a defender for a pick 6.

At this point I'm getting crushed. I see Edwards one on one and hit him with the long pass - he drops it.

I'm in the final minute just trying to get my bearings, hit Rucker wide open for a first and he drops it.

Game 2. 7 drops. DJ Williams had 3 interceptions - 1 going 7 feet in the air and 1 handed. Another he was nearly parallel to the ground - without diving. BRandon Marshall celebrates TDs with guys still to beat - and then hurdles them to finish it. Kyle Orton is the greatest QB in history - 6 TDs.

I've never seen a game cheat so much in my life. I can take better coverage, guys being tougher to tackle and OL being tougher to get around and running tougher - but that many crucial dropped passes? I know it's the Browns, but that is ridiculous.

Browns without Braylon Edwards, 1-0. Jets with Braylon Edwards, 0-1. coincidence?

Yeah I have the same exact problem. All-Pro is too easy and All-Madden is just not realistic at all. What I have done is put it on All-Pro but adjust the CPU Skill sliders in the settings menu. You'll have to work with them and adjust them to your liking. Or you can do the Madden test thing were you run the drills and it creates a difficulty to your skills. It never really seemed like it worked for me, but I havent tried it this year.

Thats how all maddedn works. it makes your team play the crappiest game they possibly can and sees if you can still win.

Keep playing it on all madden, eventually youl be able to fight past it. So far my best season on all madden with the browns has been 14-3 and i lost in my first game of the playoffs

Stay out of the Smack Shack it will only get you in trouble.

I'm sticking with it. It just frustrates me because I'm reading things quick enough and throwing through the proper passing lanes. the drops bother me more than anything. I have 0 TDs through 3 games and 4 endzone drops and 2 endzone pics against me that defy logic.

Finally a victory! 30-14 over the Bengals.

Got my 1st TD - Cribbs 98 yard return (maybe All Madden is realistic, lol)

Drove down the field and got called for holding, then threw a ball into the ground rather than a TD - then got a FG blocked.

Finally got 2 offensive TDs. A diving Edwards catch and I ran in with Quinn for about 10 yards as I didn't wnt to throw the pick. HAd 100 yards rushing too with James Davis.

yeah same here. Its rediculous. Heiden doesnt catch anything on pro or online. Every ball I throw to him it looks like he catchs it and then drops it 2 seconds later. Guys can appear WIDE OPEN then a safety runs over at 1,000 mph and knocks the ball down.

its impossible to complete a short pass to a tight end for a few yards. The play that usually works to most is out of the shotgun with a 2 running back set and passing the ball to davis or lewis, on average you can get decent to really good yardage.

I was playing all-pro last night and Cribbs was returning the ball for a TD with a kicker to beat and the Kicker forced a fumble on Cribbs, then the KICKER returns it for 6. I dont think you can get any more unrealistic then that.

Yeah when you play on All-Madden the CPU can do some very unrealistic crap. The CPU running back breaks just about every tackle and the CPU offensive lineman are all hall of famers.

I can play the game just fine its just that on All-Madden the CPU players are just super-humans. It also depends on your style of play, ie: sim or cheese.

i strugled some when i first started playing all madden. so i stacked the deck in my favor until i figured out the IA and what does and does not work most of the time.

you can set you replays to unlimted, and as you improve reading the defenses and your skills, you can drop the replays to say for instance 3, then finally to 0.

that is how i did it anyway, i still like to run the ball more the pass, but is is really important to have your audibles set and know them inside and out. who is open in cv 2, cv 3, who is your rt side hot blitz read who is left side hot blitz read, once i figured that out i win most of the time, i still get beat once in a while due to the super human strenght of the other team, but it makes it much more fun and challening in my mind.

i dont play with a very good team, i stared a franchise and i trade everyone away and get rookies each year, so that hurts me a little, but that is how i enjoy it. anyone can win with super teams. same with online play, soo many peole use the top 3 teams, but take them out of their comfort zone and challenge then to a random team selection game, and they struggle a little.

- with the 1st pick of the 2010 nfl draft... the cleveland browns pick...

this game sucks for the Wii, I rented it and it is terrible, you can't do anything unless you play on the easiest level. It doesn't even keep season stats! WTF

Proud Browns fan since 1994.

I'm 2-12 - have dropped at least 15 interceptions and 45 first downs. threown 28 picks - half of which went right to the safety - 10 yards away from my WR - nmot even in the vicinity of the route. 3 TD passes - even funnier - I've returned 6 kickoffs for TDs with Cribbs.

The Problem is you're probably trying to play Football. You can't play Football you have to play MADDEN!! You got to find out what plays work and what plays don't, who to throw to and who not to. Learn the glitches and take advantage or be doomed to endless frustration.

That's Madden, When comes to the BS 'It's in the GAME!"

And that is why Madden is really sad. EA stated that this years Madden was going to be a close simulation of the real game, but we all know that is complete BS. It will never be and the gamer that cheeses and abuses glitches will always win.

How does madden make it harder? I mean how do you make it get harder from all pro to all madden. To make it more difficult you have to make the cpu team faster, stronger, and make quicker reads. I dont agree on the dropped passes, or a fat d-linemen running down your running back from 20 yards behind.

The difficulty should come from the AI. Not by making the opposing team superhuman.

EA games have really done a number on Madden over the years. They have the ability to make a great game but they don't. Instead they just rush it out of the door with a 60 dollar price tag.

What's really sad is that many gamers still compare the newest Madden to ESPN 2K5. 5 (or so) years after it was released.

you still have Quin that is your problem i dont know why but if you have a bad QB there will be more dropped passes and unrealistic interceptions like a DT diving for a 1 handed catch

LMAO!!!! i thought i was the only one! i played on all-pro for 4 or 5 seasons and when i drafted and got my players up to a competetive level, i switched to all-mdden and....MAAAAN!!! frustration city. my problem is tw things... #1
i can stop the run but not the pass. i got to the SB and lost 38-20. w/ about 5 picks. i didn't even know you qb acc cou actually go down!!! my WRs are super fast, yet cannot get separation. when it looks like he's open the dbs move in w/ light speed and break it up or pick it. the only reason i compete iz cuz i can run! # 2... i played the ravens in cle right? no matter how much pressure i put on the QB, he got rid of the ball and it was always somebody WIDE open. i tried zone, bitzing even three man rush still got pressure) and could not stop the pass. the opposing QB had 5 TDs. i looked at their depth chart at the end and HE HAD A 64 RATING!!!! 79 accuracy and he picked me apart like dan marino!!!! mind you i play w/ the browns but this is a whole new team w/ high rated players and a QB w/ 98 thpw and 96 acc.

and brady quinn....aaaas the beaver!

I've turned the stupid game off so many times. On all pro I win 56-0. Put it on all madden I struggle. I'm 13-0 with the browns now. I just focus on slants, drags and out patterns on offense and on defense, I zone blitz like there is no tomorrow.

Something I learned a long time ago in Madden.

If you want your guy to catch the bal, then you must switch players to the receiver and make the "user catch."

Or on D you have to switch to the defender and make the "user pick."

A lot of times the cpu drops the ball.

So true, but I have dropped a lot of passes while trying to user catch them too. Some of the cpu drops are pretty unbelieveable though.

You guys have to understand.. The game is both realistic, and unrealistic. But it's all about their ratings. There's catching, catching in traffic, a lot of stuff goes to this game. You guys just have to learn.

Does bad officiating play a role into it too?

This game drives me crazy, i just turned it off in the 4th quarter with 1:30 left because I somehow managed to lose 9 fumbles and 2 interceptions, one of the interceptions was my fault the other one was was a god-like burst of speed to make a diving one handed catch infront of my receiver (which i can live with once in awhile)

But after that it becuase fumble after fumble after fumble no matter who i gave it to, cribbs my HB my FB my WRs Hell i just dove to the ground before anyone got to me and i still fumbled it, seriously what the!?

it was still 14-16 so i was still only down by 2 until i did PA scissors or whatever out of the i-form and the TE caught it wide open then as soon as the DB catches him form behind he drops it and it is returned for 6 breaking 3 tackles...ugh. I have NEVER seen this much bull >;(

Sometimes I truly loath madden...
