Are you even a Browns fan or are you just trolling our board to run some smack? Take the smack to the shack.

It is there!!!

I have done nothing but discredit comments on this board from OSU fans in their own world.
It doesn't surprise me you (OSU fans) get upset when someone smacks you with real facts.

Also do you see me bad mouthing the Browns here or anywhere, man get a clue....am I a Browns fan, stupid question for this thread.

Whatever dude. You are your own hype-machine, yet you say the same thing about the OSU fans. "Real facts" are my team will win and yours won't? Give me a break. It isn't a stupid question at all, because plenty of fans from other teams do it. I think Penn State should be favored to win this game, and most likely they will. I'm an OSU fan, and of course I'll be cheering for them, but I think Penn State has the better team this year. Having said that, I have the distinct impression that if the Buckeyes pull the upset, you won't be on this board for quite a while Wink

They played Illinois who either was ranked #22 at the time or is ranked #22 now.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=213

dawgfaninpa was criticizing the Buckeyes schedule, but wow, look at PSU!

  • Coastal Carolina
  • Temple
  • Syracuse
  • Oregon State

Granted, Oregon State beat USC, but that was a rivalry game, throw the records and rankings out the door. I don't seriously think you'll find a person who follows college football that says Oregon State is a better team than USC.

Penn State is in for a rude awakening. Not saying the Buckeyes blow them out, cause this will be a good game. But there is a reason Penn State hasn't won a game in Columbus in 30 years, and that isn't going to be changing anytime soon.

I'll remember that ya said that. Wink

If might I preface this post with a little background..... Smiler

Raised by PSU alums and a season ticket holder since 99, I've been hardcore PSU junkie for over 30 years. However, I have been an Ohio resident for the majority of that time and my beloved, younger bro is an OSU alum. I am a proud citizen of the Buckeye state.

364 days a year I cherish the tradition and victories that both these programs have brought me over the years.

Even the most casual fans in the U.S. will know who is playing as soon as they see the uniforms.
These squads epitomize 'Big-Time' college football.

Saturday night on the eve of my dreaded 365th day, OSU & PSU will again show the nation how the tough, hard-nosed, physical football is played.

Here is my fearless, 'best I can' unbiased forecast......

Keys for the Bucks:
1) Get turnovers. OSU has scored on D in 3 of the past 4 meetings with PSU. Giving Pryor the short-field was instrumental at MSU, more of the same at home will really get the kid going. Darryl Clark has put it on the ground 6 times this season, one of his few weaknesses, and the Bucks D can certainly hit hard enough to cause one or two.

2) Control Maybin/Evans/Gaines at DE. Whether it be a few screens & draws to Beanie or chipping with a TE, OSU must get this trio slowed down. PSU's DEs are the most athletic in the Big Ten and have wreaked havoc since day 1 2008.

Keys for the Lions:

1) Make plays in the passing game. The biggest difference in this contest over the past 2 seasons has been the total disappearance of a PSU passing game. While the Bucks have enjoyed Todd B's career game and Troy S's Heisman hi-lite reel. Mr. Morelli threw for 3tds....for OSU Eeker! PSU has the weapons to turn this around and to win they must take advantage of Norwood/Butler/D Will.

2) Trust the OL. This is the number one reason I believe PSU can win this game. This is a deep, veteran group that can get to the second level in the running game and have given Mr Clark plenty of time to get through progressions. If they can figure out OSU's edge blitz package and weather the early storm, this unit is capable of wearing OSU down in the second half and keeping Beanie & the Kid on the sidelines.

Prediction...

PSU only has 1 turnover.
Pryor goes 16/27 191yds 1 td, 1 int, 3
sacks.
Beanie and Royster get 100+; Wells 30 carries; Royster 22 carries.
Clark bounces back from an early TO to throw for 200 and run for 50+ accounting for 3 scores.

PSU 24 OSU 20

*** Sarcastic finish*** BCS TV officials realizing that OSU version 3 is 'ratings death' and JoePa capping his career in Miami is 'ratings gold' order at least 3 dubious calls for the Nits Wink Hey it could happen, when the 'powers that be' have this much money involved in a bogus championship series...Hmm BCS....anything can happen. Big Grin

Fight On State !! Go Browns !!!

PSU (8-0)

Coastal Carolina (4-4) PSU 66 CC 10
Oregon State (4-3) PSU 45 OS 14
Syracuse (1-6) PSU 55 Syr 13
Temple (3-5) PSU 45 Temp 3
#22 Illinois (4-4) PSU 38 ILL 24
Purdue (2-5) PSU 20 PUR 6
Wisconsin (I think they were #16 at the time) (3-4) PSU 48 WIS 7
Michigan (rivalry game-always dangerous) PSU 46 UM 17

OSU (7-1)

Youngstown State (2-6) OSU 43 YS 0
Ohio (2-6) OSU 26 OH 14
#5 USC (5-1) OSU 3 USC 35
Troy (4-2) OSU 28 TROY 10
#24 Minnesota (6-1) OSU 34 MIN 21
Wisconsin (3-4) OSU 20 WIS 17
Purdue (2-5) OSU 16 PUR 3
#20 Michigan State (6-2) OSU 45 MSU 7

If you count Wisconsin as a ranked team (because they were when we both played them) PSU has played 2 ranked teams while OSU has played 4 (losing to 1 of them).

PSU has played 3 teams with even or winning records. OSU has played 4 teams with even or winning records (losing to 1 of them).

I guess you could say OSU has had the tougher schedule... but not by much.

How's that for fair and balanced? Cool

actually snow wisconsin was not ranked in the AP when you played them. and PSU hasnt played anybody still ranked in the top 25, while OSU has (2). also you mention playing teams with even or winning records how about we just leave that to winning records. then guess what you have only played one (one game over .500), while OSU still keeps its 4 teams (and they are well above .500).

so i would have to say OSU has had more than a slightly tougher schedule so far. Plus we have to play another top 5 team Big Grin

GO Browns

I was going to respond to comments directed at me, but it is pointless. I never attacked OSUs schedule, I simply said OSU didn't play 3 tough games in a row (OSU makes 4) like PSU did.

I am not hyping PSU, just pointing out to OSU fans that PSU is having a great year and this - we will blow you out like always - stuff is garbage.

The only prediction I have made anywhere on this board is Pryor won't have a good game at all, and I will stick to that.

For the person who said I will disapear if PSU looses...I will be here front and center. Just look for my posts Sunday (don't know what time my son has a football tourney all day).

IMO Penn State hasnt been tested yet. They have a good running back in Royster, and Darrly Clark has been playing good. But out defense showed up last week against Ringer. So I think if the Bucks shut down Royster early, they should get the win and be back in the hunt for another BCS appearance.

Superman does play for the Browns;his name is Joshua Cribbs.

This is what is going to happen.Pryor is going to get pulled because he thows two int and the crowd starts chanting todd todd. Boeckman comes in and wins the game and finishes out the rest the season and takes them to the rose bowl.

MSU does not have weapons PSU has. Ringer doesn't have the passing game PSU has to back off the defense.

And yet he has looked very average at best with everyone else. He has to turn it up alot, this is why I think he will try to do too much and make LOTS of mistakes.

who cares?

neither team would have a chance to win either division of the sec or the big 12 south....

therefore, neither team should be allowed in the national championship game.
