Lerner to Meet

Randy lerner is set ot meet with Protest Organizers.
It's time that Lerner listons and hears it straight from the season ticket holders. We are fed up,mad and disgusted because we care about our Browns, We want a winning Browns team.

Browns Forever 16-0 or 0-16 always a Browns fan

Lerner will slip them each a grand and tell them to admit the boycott was wrong, and he really cares <<wink, wink>> about putting a quality product on the field. His soccer team will be playing it's season in Cleveland next season.

My standards are pretty low, so I am never dissappointed.

Anyone watch them interviewed on ABAO? They said they had a 2 hour meeting with Lerner and they also said he didn't try to dissuade their protest and he said that they have to do what they feel they have to do. It was an interesting segment with them if you didn't see it. It comes on again at midnight if you're sleeping by then DVR it or something it's worth watching.

I was just watching Dawg Pound Mike and Mobile Dawg, and must say that I am glad that they brought up the issue of being able to stand up, and cheer, and act a little nutty! This is Cleveland football, not a funeral parlor, and if fans have problems with other people being loud, they should stay home, or buy tickets in the family section! If half of the fans knew how the old Municipal Stadium use to be, they would be shocked! LOL We need the "new" stadium to be as crazy as the old one, and to make it so that opposing fans won't want to go to games there!

Link to the protesters comments.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4620639

After reading this, I'm now convinced this is more about those two getting some press than it is about the so called protest. How could someone say that Lerner is the only owner who would meet with them for 2 hours and how they believed that his intentions are good and turnaround and still want to protest? What then, are they protesting exactly?

Thats a pretty cool video.. I hope that they can "take back our stadium" because the atmosphere at the games has gotten worse and worse.. it seemed to reach new levels starting this preseason.

I saw so many people thrown out of the games for cursing??? and there is always harping for people to sit down, it is RIDICULOUS
I mean last time i checked it was a football game, there isnt ENOUGH cursing and standing and stomping and fanatic cheering.

Here we go Brownies here we go, Woof! Woof!

I am sure it will be an absolute clash of the idiots and our actual voice will get drown out by a few clowns total moronic complaints.

What the fan base actually feels will not come across....

It will be dumb things, like why does family night cost money or we should be allowed to stand up i our seats all game long or we shouldn't have to have beer in cups.

I'd bet any money it is a bunch of dumb crap like that and nothing about football.

i think they has some valid points. i want to see the championship banners hung in the stadium. so what if they are not super bowl banners. we ruled the league prior to the "super bowl" coming of age. i also like the idea of retiring Kosar #19 and Ernie Davis, that would be so awsome. we need to get back to the roots of whats the Browns football is all about. tradition, respect, and beating the ^%$@ out of the other team. im glad Lerner finally sees it

"Randall said he and Schafer are going forward with the "Brown out" protest despite their meeting with Lerner. They will consider canceling it if Lerner agrees to speak to Browns fans, who walked out by the thousands during the second half of a recent home loss to Green Bay.

Randall said he presented Lerner with a quote from Theodore Roosevelt that he felt best summed up his desire to have Browns fans heard.

"It says, 'In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing,'" Randall said. "Randy liked that. We're doing something. So is he."

Put up banners and have images of the greats of Cleveland. Build the tradition ...again.

Lerner fired Kokonis and met with them personally and they still want to drink beer in the hallway when the game starts, that's rich.

If Lerner talks to the fans are they going to call it off?

The fan protest is pretty dumb. I'm sure RL, EM and the team know the fans are sick of this crap. So I will be at kickoff wgere I have been since 1999, in my seat preparing for a miserable 3 hours followed by another 7 days of excuses.

The real fan protest will show up in the 4th quarter when there are 20,000 purple Ravens fans and 50,000 Browns fans dressed up like empty seats.

Don't sell short during the one play protest, on laying on the ground kicking and screaming, then finally top it off with holding your breath till you turn blue.

That ought to really show em, huh?

Lol!!! thats pretty funny .

But they claimed that originally the meeting was only scheduled for 30 minutes and it lasted 2 hours. They also claimed that a few times, the discussion got very vocal ("meaning i guess they raised their voices")...

But i guess DawgPound Mike has talked to Lerner a few times over the Years and Randy had already known him by name.

My plan is to get there early enough to sit in "Dawg Pound" Mike's seat. He is the clown that welcomed Johnson into The Pound. He should have had his PSL revoked for that. He is not a true Browns fan...

We as Browns fans are always saying we are the best most loyal fans in the NFL.Now correct me if I'm wrong, but is a half empty stadium in front of a nation wide audience going to prove this.Lets show all football fans that even though our team has been horrible(except for 2 yrs.)since 99,we still fill our stadium and cheer on our beloved Browns.Let these so called fans who started this bologne be the only two missing opening kickoff. No matter what,ALWAYS BE PROUD TO BE A BROWNS FAN!!!GO BROWNS!!!

When did Dawg Pound Mike become the voice of the fans? What ever happened to John "Big Dawg" Thompson.

It's a Goodell mandate. It's league wide. Goodell is killing the NFL.
