Right. If a team from the Big Ten never beat a team from the SEC, then I would say you are correct. But just last year, Michigan beat the Gators in Florida. The year before that, both Penn State and Wisconsin beat SEC teams, so how do you explain it? The truth is each year each team is different.

Oh my! Did your little feelings get hurt? I have a feeling that if went to the Miami Dolphins team board and started ragging on the Gators and the Seminoles, I'd get a similar response to what you're getting. Grow some thicker skin, or don't participate in the debate.

Understandably there are some of my fellow OSU fans that might take things a little far in some peoples opinions(not mine), but I don't think any of them are as arrogant as an SEC fan they truly take the cake....

The only conference that really loves the Buckeyes is the SEC. You know the elite conference in college football. High powered O's and potent D's have no match for better talent. Not a hater just stating the obvious so go play YSU and Bowling Green while the SEC teams play tough competition so they are primed for the championship game. Shout out from a life long Gator fan

Uhh.

Go Buckeyes.

Can't wait to see the game against usc.

Trying to think of a way not to get jumped since I'm attending school at IU.

Even the office of admissions gives me crap when i gave them my email address when i got accepted (starts with buckeyedan)

Anyway, can't wait to see Wells and Co. take the field.

BuckeyeDan, curious as to why you won't be attending Ohio State in the fall instead of IU?

Well, it was my biggest dreams to attend tOSU this fall, however, being a resident of indiana...my total cost for the academic year at iu is about 17 g...

Then came osu prices, out of state fee would probably be about close to 40 grand a year, and my parents make middle class income, so i had to be considerate of that.

However, I've heard that tosu has a decent law school, so i could possibly look into them for that.

I think I'll enjoy IU though. But, my roots and heart will ALWAYS be scarlet and gray, never white and red

I hear ya BuckeyeDan. I was an in-state resident of Ohio, and I'll be paying off my loans for many moons Frowner

And as you correctly pointed out, you could still attend tOSU after your undergrad is finished. I'm sure you'll have a blast at IU. A good friend of mine went to Illinois at Urbana-Champaigne. I went out there a few times to visit and always had a great time; their campus was very cool.

Good luck at IU!

The SEC should just be happy that OSU has not found a way to beat them yet becuase otherwise the Big 10s already winning record against the SEC would be by an even wider margin. Sure, the SEC is having an excellent two year run and this will probably continue until the rest of the Big 10 realizes you need to pay for top coach talent. However, to think we can not compete with your schools or that OSU would not compete for the SEC championship if they played in your conference is stupid. There is no extreme differences in talent between top teams. But watching FL lose to the same team APP State lost to was fun last year.

Doesn't matter...

They are over-rated again this year... The soft 10 is too...

They will make it to a BCS bowl because they have 9 gimmies and 2 maybes on there schedule again this year... Then they'll get jobbed again in the bowl game they go too... USC is their only real test... Wisconsin is good but not great, Penn State is over rated too... The Ill is too... The rest is... Red Face Then their non con sched is Troy, Ohio and Eeker Roll Eyes Red Face Razzer Big Grin

until the Buckeyes can beat an SEC team in a Bowl Game will they get any recognition, even if they win it all this year and they happen to play WVU or a BCS team outside of USC.

2006 The offense was there for the Buckeyes to take it all, but they lucked out that the Defense played better than expected the whole year. But with Ginn injured after the opening KO (that was returned for a TD) and their 2nd WR (Roy Hall, benched after his 2nd personal foul in the 1st qtr) tressel was down to 2 wr's in Gonzales and Robiske. Believe me, the Buckeyes may have still even lost that game, but score would've been much much closer.
2007, it was the opposite, defense was the strength and they thought OSU would still lose 3+ games for the year (at least go to a new years day bowl game).

i read something today that prior to OSU winning the 2002 national championship (which some people still say it was a gimme), that since OSU last one a championship with Woody Hayes in 1968, they had 9 other occasions where they lost a game in a season that cost them a national title, so from 1969 to 2001 (or roughly every 5 years they had a shot to win it).

to me, that doesnt mean this program is over-rated by any means. I will say this, the Big Ten conference was much stronger in the 90's than it is today and the SEC is much stronger in this decade than it was in the 90's.

SEC will again be brutal this year. it'll be hard for anybody to go undefeated or even with 1 loss. they'll be very deserving if they do.

also, the SEC, BIG 12 and PAC-10 teams again will have 2 BYE weeks during the course of their seasons, while the BIG TEN finally gets a bye week for the 1st time in awhile,m so that their schedule will finish up on thanksgiving weekend. Thats a huge plus to those other schools.

I am a Dayton bball fan and OSU football fan. I attended the OSU/Dayton NIT game. AFter the game while in the parking lot a car drove up and a 10 year old kid yells o-H-I-O Even though I am an OSU football fan many of their fans are not good winners or losers and this kid is getting a lesson from his dad.

I could care less about OSU, I just don't get everyone's locve for Tressel. He's quite possibly the WORST coach I've ever witnessed. I've only watched about 1 quarter of the game.. Fresno state should be much more interesting. After the past 2 weeks OSU should be dropped to #25 in the nation. If I were running it they'd be unranked. What a terrible team.

-------------
The bottom 5 teams in rushing attempts (the Browns being one of them) are a combined 1-14. How about trying to run the ball?

tressel recruits well, no doubt but if I were a prized recrui why would I want to go there now? To get laughed at by the country

I travel a lot and when I tell football fans I am from Ohio they laugh. tell me to keep my team at home. I have to tell them more people in Ohio hate OSU more than thos that like them.
