It is interesting-all the Browns fans who act like the only top and bottom the team can wear is the pearl whites(which look horrible after a real football game). I wonder what people REALLY have against the team doning the color in which its name and team colors come from.

Idiots. The Brown pants are NICE. They are a conservative alteration. I REALLY REALLY would love to see the Brown on Brown at home.

It would be unlike any uni in the league. Not to mention it makes sense.

These new uni's look horrible. It looks as if a blind person put these together. If they wait to put a little color... shoot... orange and brown like '75 to '83.

I'll give them credit for trying something different, but I'm not crazy about this iteration.

The solid pants with solid sock aren't working for me. The bright white logos on the front of the pants stand out way too much. It seems to need some type of stripe accent at least.

Overall, this isn't an improvement. It's just different.

It's about time the BROWNS org got it right. The team seldom wear their colors at the games. I do not like the ALL WHITE look .. to bah.. Like the look tonite for the away games. Hopefully, the team will keep the brown pants and white tops for away games and the brown top and white pants at home games.
The team is called BROWNS .. but very seldom do they wear the full color scheme: BROWN,ORANGE & White

If you guys vote on the ugly NON CLEVELAND BROWNS PANTS!!!! where does it stop the helmet will be next and oh ya how about just changing the whole uniform

I agree with you Mikesdaugs.
There is no need for those stupid ugly brown pants! What's next? a brown helmet with an orange and white stripe? I hope this organization sticks with the tradition of white pants!

Please learn your History. the team was named after Paul Brown and not the color brown.

Second I do not think people have anything against color. I am all for bringing the Orange pants back. Those make me think of Sipe, Newsome, Dixon, Matthews, and more. I love the Brown top, Orange pant combo.

Lastly after seeing them last night everyone has to admit they looked aweful, and the pants looked bad too.

Actually, there is some debate t' that issue. The two leadin' theories are:

 • ...named after Paul BROWN
 • ...named after the BROWN Bomber Joe Louis...

Howsumever... named afer the COLOR Brown ain't never been one of the possibilities.
Please learn your History. the team was named after Paul Brown and not the color brown.
"A fan contest was conducted to determine the name of the team, with the most popular choice being "Panthers." However, Brown objected to the name after finding out it had been used by a semipro team in the city—one that had a reputation as a chronic loser. This prompted a second contest to choose a name befitting a champion.[3] This contest yielded the nickname "Brown Bombers" after reigning heavyweight champion Joe Louis—and was shortened to "Browns" for the convenience of headline writers. However, to this day, rumors persist that the team was named after Paul Brown himself."

Everything I have read states the following:
The Cleveland Browns were founded in 1946 under owner Arthur 'Mickey' McBride. A fan contest was conducted to determine the name of the team, with the most popular choice being "Panthers." However, Coach Paul Brown objected to the name as there was an unsuccessful semipro team using it already. A second contest was held, and the name "Browns" was selected. The coach was uncomfortable with the idea of having the team named after him, but stated publicly that the new team was named after boxing champion Joe Louis, who was known as the "Brown Bomber".

Why the brown pants don't work:

1. It's the wrong color brown. Too dark.
2. Coupled with the brown socks, it looks like they are wearing tights. Wrong image.
3. The dark brown actually makes their legs look scrawny i.e. weak.

If they'd chosen the correct brown and added a thigh stripe, the look would have been improved.

However:

White pants are a Cleveland Browns classic, and muddy and filthy at the end of play is pure football.

Please ditch the brown pants.

The brown pants look absolutely horrible! I hope that they give them away to some high school team that could use the brown pants. At worse case, they should only practice in them.

That picture of Edwards with the Brown jersey and Brown pants looks good to me. I think we should consider that one game.
