We all hope not but if he does, which free agent(s) could the Cavs sign to keep us interested? Could we land Wade?

If Lebron leaves the team will fold. It'll go from 18,000 a game to 2,000 a game. What's needed more than that is to get a real coach so we can play like a championship team because right now they are terrible.

Browns without Braylon Edwards, 1-0. Jets with Braylon Edwards, 0-1. coincidence?

If he leaves, all of cleveland sports are done.

The browns are considered by many to be the worst franchise in the league, the Indians trade away players so they can play in the World series, Lebron and the cavs is the only thing that the city has thats worth anything.

Welcome to Cleveland!

Home of the famous Tiredcat formation and the premier place that QB's come to kill their careers.

If Lebron leaves Cleveland it will be the biggest mistake of his career.

Honestly, I don't think he leaves.

LBJ isn't going anywhere. The Cavs have the most available money to give to him and in today's global market place, it isn't necessary to go to New York or LA in order to "make it big."

My brother told me that Lebron and Wade orchastrated their free agency to coincide so they could be on a team together. With all the money that the Cavs have, I think we'll be finally seeing our power forward and an athletic big guy to run with the likes of Howard and Garnett.
Here's to hopin'.

My two cents...

I've heard LBJ and Chris Bosh are pretty good friends. He is also a FA after this season. Here's to hoping...

If Lebron leaves, the entire city of Cleveland will implode.

I think Cleveland just hates having big name athletes in town. If you are playing and Cleveland and doing well, you better believe that you are not going to be there for long.

if LeBron leaves, I will be grateful.

It's not because I'm a Pistons fan, but it's because it's unfortunate that he's wasting his talent on such a boring team. I want to see him go somewhere where he will be absolutely electrifying, night in and night out. The role players on the Cavs don't interest me in the slighest, even as a fan of the NBA in general.

I think it would be pretty sick if he signed with the Lakers. That would be crazy to see him and Kobe together.

He has always said he wanted to put Akron on the map and he seems to have allegiance to NE Ohio - and Cleveland. He already is on the map. Make the map Cleveland.

Yes, Mike Brown was outcoached last year and hopefully LeBron will realize that the regular season means little. It's all about playoffs in B-Ball and Hockey - just be sure to make in the playoffs first.

Whomever is running the Indians, and we think we know who is/are running the Browns, but maybe we don't, they may not be cursed, but simply mismanaged. You can't let that happen to downtown Cleveland and the long winter with LeBron and company holding court. The King needs to stay and get more players still to support the man and either have Mike Brown look elsewhere or get more practice working under Coach K or someone at another level - there's still something missing in his outlook. It becomes all about defense come playoff time. Orlando did outplay the Cavs but also outcoached them.

Get a championship in Cleveland - in something.

Trolling as usual. Every Cavs thread, every OSU thread. Keep trollin, trollin, trollin...

So far from the truth its amazing. Keep watching your old, tired team...if you get bored turn on the Cavs and watch LbJ light up NY. Or put in the DVD of him lighting up Detroit for 30 straight points.

I'm not even a troll, you're just mad 'cause I want to see him play for a team that isn't boring, deal with it. If I were a troll, I would slay LeBron and the city of Cleveland, but seeing as I love the Browns & Indians, and think LeBron is one of the best players in the league, that hardly makes me a troll.

Also, with Tim recently coming out saying that NBA officials were told to keep games close for the benefit of viewers, I wouldn't be surprised if the fix was in for my Pistons in recent years, and not in the good way. I also wouldn't call the Pistons old and tired, seeing as only two of the starters are in their 30s... actually, make that ONE at the moment. Don't drag my team into this just because I want to see LeBron go somewhere where his players actually BENIFIT him. Roll Eyes

You troll dude. You have aboslutely nothing positive to say about the Cavs or OSU. Nothing but a hater. Dont act like your teams dont play a roll in your hate.

Yes, Detroit is old and tired. Deal with it and keep the box of Kleenex next to you to mop up your conspiracy theory tears. Cavs will continue going to the playoffs and LeBron will continue being the best player in the NBA even though his talent is being wasted on this boring team Big Grin.

You obviously have no comprehension of the term 'troll.' You're just bitter since I have an honest opinion on the matter (and OSU for that matter), even if it is in a negative light. I didn't go out of my way to personally attack the teams' or players' fans, so get off my back already. If anything, you're sitting here trying to instigate something, so leave it be already.

I'm not crying, I stated yet another honest opinion. I'm content with Detroit right now, they're in rebuild mode, but at least I have the patience to watch this team rebuild seeing as they have one of the best GMs in the entire league. Oh, and keep bragging about those Cavs for now, 'cause come next year you'll probably hop off the bandwagon once/if he leaves Cleveland. No really, I bet you won't see any posts form you in regards to the Cavs once he leaves... that's probably how it is with most Cav fans, though.

For awhile, the refs here used MY definition of a troll in the rules section. I have a VERY good idea of what a troll is.

Nah its not that you offer your opinion on those teams, its that you DO go out of your way to throw in a smug comment and get pissed when people challenge your motives.

I will keep supporting my team, JUST like I do the Browns: win or lose - with or without LeBron. Thanks for your permission though.

I usually like your posts but, the Cavs boring? They looked pretty exciting to me last year. They are kinda starting slow this year but, come on you want him to leave because, they are boring and you want to see him do good? I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that LeBron owns the Pistons and that the Pistons will play for 2nd until he does leave. I'm so sure it has nothing to do with that. Roll Eyes
Also, get off the Dumars thing. He is not one of the best GM's in the NBA. Overrated maybe but, one of the best? That's highly doubtful. Sorry but, anyone that is not smart enough to pick Wade, Anthony, or Bosh over Milicic is nowhere near a good GM. Then he trades the Pistons best player (Billups) for no reason and for the worst team player in the NBA. Well, on the brightside you have Ben Gordon and Charlie V. they'll lead you back to the promised land i'm sure.
That's fine if you want LeBron to leave but, be honest on your reasons not because the Cavs are boring isn't being honest. They aren't too boring Pistons can't beat them in the playoffs anymore.

Yes, Joe D is overrated...

he only made Billups, Hamilton, both Wallaces the players they've become today. No, he didn't restore credibility to the Pistons organazation or bring them a Championship in the last 5 seasons (ohhh, something your team DOESN'T have, even with LeBron). No, he didn't draft Tayshaun, who was a shut-down SF until 2006... and no, he didn't play 497 straight games. I don't believe Dumars established a team that went to its conference finals for six straight seasons either... hmm, I don't think a team has done that since the Lakers back when MAGIC JOHNSON WAS PLAYING, GET REAL! Joe D dropped the ball with the Billups trade, and sure, it would have been nice to have Melo, Wade or Bosh, but guess what, you don't get every detail right as a GM.

Oh, and I'm all for the signings of Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva... remember, Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups, and Rip Hamilton weren't anything until they got to Detroit. Now, I'm not saying Gordon and Villanueva will be those players, but they're in their mid 20s, they have a bright future, and they can most definitely be two significant pieces to a future championship team.

It will take the Pistons a couple years to get their balance back, but rest assured, it will come.

Joe D is far from overrated. A couple mishaps doesn't erase the incredible moves he's made to restore credibility within Detroit as an NBA team. He's done all of this without a LeBron... one day he will get his superstar player, it will come in due time, but I'm willing to be patient until then.

And yes, the Cavs are boring, and they were boring last year. Just because they won a bunch of games that doesn't mean anything, they were unathletic and slow, the Magic exposed them of that. LeBron needs to go to a more exciting organazation, a more exciting team, a place where his talent won't be wasted by mediocre players... and YES, I MEAN THIS AS AN NBA FAN, THE PISTONS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

I like how delusional you guys get, simply because of an opinion. Get the hell over it already.

There is no possible excuse for missing on those 3 when you pick Milicic i think your blinded by your loyalty. Can't chalk that up to "oh it happens sometimes misses". That's more than a miss. Nobody thought Milicic would be better than Melo, Bosh, or Wade. Fact is you and every other Piston fan think Dumars is the greatest thing in the world and most of it is probably because, he played for the Pistons. He is overrated but, he'll be allowed to stay on as GM till he wants to leave. For all the love he gets and supposed great team they won once. I wouldn't be to proud of going to the East Finals 6 years in a row especially only winning once out of those years. He's had more misses than hits. How did Curry work out? That was Dumars call. He also overpayed for both Gordon and Charlie V. Gordon is one-dimensional and Charlie is a jack of all trades, master of none.
Really he made those guys the players they are now? I didn't know he was a coach. I personally think it was more Larry that made those guys since he was coaching them but, whatever. Have fun hanging onto your championship with him because, that will be the only one he'll get as GM. His drafts have been terrible and he's not building a team with bad drafts. His only chance is to hit on a super star. Like a Howard or a LeBron or a Kobe. Also, i think a lot of people would dissagree on your opinion of the Cavs being boring during the year even none Cavs fans. They scored a lot and played great all year till they hit the East Finals but, that doesn't make them boring. The Suns play exciting basketball where has that got them? Spurs play boring ball they have 4 titles. The Pistons were like watching paint dry during their run. So, i'd rather be boring and good than exciting and crappy. Like i said that mediocre team is still good enough to smoke the Pistons out of the Playoffs so, what doesn't that make the greatly ran Joe Dumars lead Pistons? I guess below average since the Cavs are mediocre. I will agree that the Cavs need to be more up tempo though that's when they play better and they need to make a trade during the year or they won't be winning again. Ferry is a bad GM also so don't think i'm just ragging on Dumars because, he's a Piston. Ferry has had terrible draft picks and the trade for Shaq even though it didn't cost them anything was a bad move they needed an athletic big not a 37 year old big center especially when he's not really an upgrade over Z. I liked Ferry's trade for Mo Williams that was a great trade and i liked the trade a few years ago when they got West and those guys but, other than that he's been bad. He's worse than Dumars though at least Dumars got 1 ring.
But, whatever we're not going to agree Dumars is a god to Pistons fans and the Cavs are only average even though they have good playoff runs every year. Of course when the Pistons traded for Iverson last year i remember you came on here and said the Pistons would win the Division. So, we'll see.

I live in New York and everyone, I mean absolutely everyone thinks it's a forgone conclusion that he's leaving Cleveland. Might not end up with the Knicks but to everyone, every fan, every sports writer & commentator, every sports radio guy, it's a fact that he's leaving Cleveland after this year. He has a lot of fun everytime he's here and the city rolls out the red carpet for him everytime. Hangin with JayZ, Chris Rock & Spike Lee and the paparazzi follows him like a puppy.

I don't know what will or will not happen but I do know that when there's SooOoOoOo much smoke there's usually fire. He's not immune to it or superhuman. Who doesn't want to be the king of New York? I'll be very happily surprised if he ends up back in Cleveland. The city is just so down on it's luck. It would be a big big punch in the gut if he left. I don't agree with that article BTW... look at the Celts. They were awful and went to a title in one year. Labron + Wade or Bosh = championship for any team. If they can swing it I think he goes.

I watched the game the other night (here in the East) and Knicks people love to talk about this - as if it's a done deal. CC Sabathia was on at half time and saying that he will be a Knick next year. I don't believe it - but at least the Cavs have to make finals this year and Boston will be a tough one to get by. They are still short another forward.

He'll be thirty before the Knicks can put anything near what is here together!

I'm saying he stays as Gilbert cuts him a business deal he can't refuse.

And if he goes, so what. Gilbert has a good thing going and there are great players who'd love to be "the man" here!

Has LeBron won a Championship? Until he does, who cares if he stays or leaves. He is just another ego-maniac that hasn't done anything except toy with Clevelanders emotions about staying or leaving. Not an NBA fan here, so I don't care.

If Lebron leaves it will be the most devestating blow to sports in Cleveland in this city's history. Yes, it will be more devestating than the drive, the fumble, and the Indians losing to the Marlins in the world series all put together.

We will see the collapse of the Cavs franchise. Do any of you remember how bad we were before we drafted Lebron? Well it will be twice as bad as that IMHO.

This team is entirely built around LBJ. They all play a role which is intended to work as a unit with LBJ's talents. With LBJ gone, hardly any of these guys will remain around and we will witness this franchise have to blow up the team and start completely from scratch. No one will go see the Cavs play and Danny Ferry will be run out of town.

With all that being said, I don't think he will go anywhere although the possibility does exist. I think you will see the Cavs attract a big free agent like Bosh or Wade and we will finally see our first, in a run, of championships.

And the 2010 Defensive Rookie of the Year IS...(Drumroll Please!)...Taylor Mays, FS, Cleveland Browns!

who cares. and to whoever said Lebron has an allegiance to Northeast ohio has a selective memory. allegiance is not wearing a Yankees hat to a cleveland indians game..that was unprofessional and a huge slap in the face to any self respecting cleveland fan.

the ego maniac loves attention and by "putting akron on the map" translates to "hey, I'm lebron james, look at me". the guy is an arrogant jerk, good riddance.

the latest word was that the Miami Heat will make some room to try and sign Lebron James and re-sign Dwayne Wade down there. GM/Pat Riley thinks he can get it done.

Lebron however has just came out and said he's not taking anymore questions this season about what he plans to do next season. He said his current team needs his full attention and he WANTS TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR!
